Marty Van Kleeck guides One Thirty Production’s presentation of this stirring and funny story of a family struggling to accept the unacceptable……All three characters have vast emotional arcs and need to be in the hands of actors that will bring honesty to the roles. Davies, Price and Cobb achieve that and give us moments of striking poignancy. This is a story that any adult audience can understand.

Pyeatt and Pearlman snark and spit their way into intimacy. Price’s staging has almost continual movement, which keeps the energy high and feeds the tension sneaking upward between George and Helena……Alone Together Again is light comedy but it is not without substance. Price and the actors have actually elevated Roman’s script.

When Van Kleeck, Price and the late Larry Randolph founded One Thirty Productions for a senior audience 10 years ago, some assumed they'd dish out familiar, nostalgic fare. Instead, this small company continues to bring big heart to shows like this that can be savored by all ages.
